Coffee cocktails to chase the cold away this winter
The Espresso Martini has been made hugely popular in recent years but are you fancying something different to see you through winter? Check out these winter warmer coffee cocktails
Bavarian coffee
Finally, a use for that bottle of peppermint schnapps someone left at your house last Christmas.
- 15ml peppermint schnapps
- 15ml Kahlúa
- 120mls coffee (freshly brewed)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- whipped cream
- grated chocolate
Combine the coffee, schnapps, and Kahlúa in a mug or Irish coffee glass. Add sugar to sweeten, then float the cream on top. Sprinkle grated chocolate on top
Irish winter
A subtle transformation of the classic Irish Coffee that brings a unique creaminess to the base of the drink
- 40ml Jameson Irish Whiskey
- 20mls Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur
- 20mls Irish cream liqueur
- 120mls coffee (freshly brewed)
- whipped cream (optional)
Combine ingredients in a mug or irish coffee glass, stir to combine. Top with whipped cream
Dark & Stormy
Twist up a classic cocktail with a splash of espresso
- 25ml dark rum
- 25ml tequila
- 2 tbsp freshly brewed espresso
- ginger beer
- ice
Fill a highball glass with ice and pour in the rum and tequila. Stir then top with ginger beer. Slowly pour in the espresso.
